Matthew Mirabella is gaining attention and praise for the full, sweet sound and beautiful color of his voice, for a charming stage presence, artistic versatility and for his strong, youthful presence in the lyric tenor repertoire.
Mr. Mirabella has had the recent privilege of performing in Janacek's, Zapisnik Zmizeleho (The Diary of One Who Disappeared) as well as Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor) Rodolfo (La Bohème), Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto), Gerald (Lakmè), Tamio (Die Zauberflöte), Beppe (Rita), Marco (Gondoliers), Beast (Beauty and the Beast), Porcupine (Fantastic Mr. Fox), Roberto (Il Caso Mortara), Spoletta (Tosca), and Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus). He has performed with venues such as, Cimarron Opera, Center City Symphony, Cortona Opera, Czech Center of New York with Peter Breiner, DIcapo Opera, Martha Cardona Theater, Natchez Opera, New York Lyric Opera, Opera Firenze, Opera Ischia, OU Opera Theater, Soofser Series, Temple Opera, and UMC Colorado Springs.
Matthew has had the honor of singing in various concert series from Italy to the United States. He has also enjoyed frequent appearances as the tenor soloist in Mozart Requiem, Elijah, and Messiah.
While pursuing his academics, he was a first prize winner in the Texhoma Region National Association of Teachers and Singers Competition.
Matthew calls New York City home, where he studies with renowned teacher and pedagogue Michael Paul.
